Saturday Morning Mass

The Catholic mass will be held every Saturday at 10 am, except for Holy Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Prayer Intentions

Prayer intentions are announced at the Saturday 10 am masses. Requests are accepted for “in memory of,” “in honor of,” “for the healing of,” and as special intentions of family and friends. Contact the Shrine to add your loved one to the prayer intentions for these days.

First Fridays

On the first Friday of the months September through May, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be held from 7 pm to 9 pm. Come spend time in quiet prayer in the presence of the Lord.

Lenten Events

The Stations of the Cross will be held in the Chapel at 6:30 pm followed by a soup supper in the Visitor Center on Fridays, March 17, 24, and 31. Free will donations for the soup supper are appreciated.

A presentation of The Last Seven Words of Christ will be held in the Chapel at noon on Good Friday, April 7.

– Holy Hour for Families, Monday, September 18, 2023, hosted by the Serra Club of West Omaha
– Social Hour with the Catholic Business Group of Omaha, Thursday, September 21, 2023
– 2nd Annual Holy Family Shrine Retreat, Saturday, December 9, 2023.  Registration opening soon!
– Feast Day of the Holy Family, Saturday, December 31, 2023.  Mass at 2 PM, celebrated by Archbishop Lucas.  Reception to follow.

The Chapel and the Visitor Center may be reserved for certain functions, however, The Shrine cannot have weddings or anything related to weddings (including showers, prenup dinners, receptions, etc.), renewal of vows, baptisms, and funerals..

The following events can be held in the Chapel, which seats up to 130 people:

  • Mass in celebration of an anniversary or birthday
  • Mass in Honor or in Memory of a loved one
  • Worship and Praise
  • Prayer Service

The Visitor Center can hold up to 100 people, or 60 people for a sit-down dinner after hours. The Conference Room in the Visitor Center can seat up to 30 people. Events held here include:

  • Meetings (with religious connections)
  • Retreats (RCIA, church and school retreats, etc.)
  • Family-oriented events, i.e. anniversaries and birthdays

We encourage family events to be scheduled after hours, as the Shrine is open to all during visiting hours. We can schedule before- or after-hours functions on a case-by-case basis. Shrine Staff may ask to meet with a member of a group wanting to rent the facility. We reserve the right to ask any individual or group to leave the grounds and/or facility. Failure to leave the premises when asked can be cause for calling law enforcement.

Open until 9pm the first Friday of each month.

Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving and the day after, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Close early at 3:00 p.m. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

First Fridays

The Shrine is open until 9pm the first Friday of each month.

For the months of September through May, spend peaceful time with our Lord from 7-9pm at Adoration in the Chapel on the first Friday of each month.

It is here that the Holy Spirit stirs the supernatural sense of faith to seek the truth.
