Although the Holy Family Shrine is part of the Archdiocese, it does not receive financial support from them and operates independently. We rely solely on the generosity of our visitors. Your donation will help us maintain our facilities, support our dedicated staff, beautify the site that draws thousands of visitors each year, and continue our mission. Donation boxes can be found in the Visitor Center and Chapel. Donation envelopes are also available at our welcome table in the Visitor Center to take with you and mail later.

How does your
donation help?
The Shrine could not continue to exist without the support of our donors and volunteers, as all of our financial support comes donations. The Shrine operates separately from the Omaha Archdiocese, so it does not receive funds from them or other organizations. Donations fund the operational costs of maintenance, utilities, repairs and improvements, as well as a full-time and a part-time staff member. We are greatly appreciative and grateful for your support!
Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are essential to keeping the Shrine open for visitors and pilgrims. Volunteers help with welcoming and providing information to visitors, gift shop operations, gardening and grounds maintenance.
Holy Family Shrine volunteers usually work in 3- to 4-hour shifts once a week, once every other week, or once a month, depending on their schedules. The greatest need for volunteers is during the summer months when visitation is at its highest. We’re grateful for any time you are able to contribute. Annual Appeal
The Shrine’s Annual Appeal is held every November. Appeal letters are mailed out to the visitors and donors in our database. Please contact us if you would like to be added to our list.
